Property intelligence for homeowners

You'll own it for thirty years.
You'll find out what it's worth once.

Everyone in property is built for that one day. The agents, the portals, the ads. Nobody is built for the thirty years you actually live there.

We are. Claim your home free and watch it like the asset it is.

Value

What it's worth today, and how sure we are

A live value with an honest range, not a single number pretending to be certain.

Demand

How many homeowners have told us they want a home like yours

Real people who have told us what they would move to next. Declared by people, not inferred from clicks.

Your street

What's happening on your street

Every sale near you, what it did to your value, and how long homes are taking to sell.

Next home

And where you'd go next

Tell us what you'd move to and we'll watch for it, including homes tested quietly that never reach a portal.

No card. No trial that ends. No agent calling you. And when you're ready to move, you can test the market privately before anyone knows you're thinking about it.
The problem
02

The market already decided what your home is worth. You're the last to know.

Property recordPublic · accurate · updated never
Land size, bedrooms, last sale price On the record
How many people want a house like yours right now No data held
How serious they are No data held
What they'd genuinely pay No data held
Your agent shows you what sold six months ago.
A portal shows you a suburb median.
Another shows you a computer's guess.

Not one of them can tell you the only thing that actually matters. How many people want a house like yours right now. How serious they are. What they'd genuinely pay.

That's not a rounding error. That's the difference between the price you accept and the price you could have had — and by the time you find out, you've already signed.

Everyone in the room can see it except you. We thought that was worth fixing.

The other half of it
03

Nobody moves because of the price. They move because they found the house.

Ask any agent why a sale didn't happen this year.

It's almost never the price.

“We'd love to, but where would we go?”

You can know your house is worth $3.42m to the dollar and still not move an inch. The number was never the thing holding you back. Finding the next one was.

You tell us

So HouseHound runs both ways.

The suburb The bedrooms The budget The school zone The north-facing yard The shed

Tell us what you'd want next. The suburb. The bedrooms. The budget. The school zone, the north-facing yard, the shed you've been promising yourself for a decade. We'll tell you what's out there that never made it to a portal — and what's being quietly tested right now.

And here's the good bit
37

When you say what you're looking for, you become the demand for somebody else's home. Every wishlist on HouseHound is a real person describing a real house they'd actually buy.

What a matched owner sees

That's what makes the number on your own report worth something. It isn't traffic. It isn't clicks. It's your neighbours, telling the truth about what they want next.

How it works
04

Free to start. Useful from day one. There when you need it.

Five steps, and you can stop at any of them. Most people will stop at the first one, and that's completely fine by us.

01 Free

Claim your home

Find your address. Prove it's yours. Two minutes, no card.

From that moment your house stops being a line on a council database and starts being a dashboard. What it's worth. Which way it's heading. What just sold three doors down.

02 Free

Say where you'd go next

Three bedrooms in Balgowlah Heights or Clontarf. Up to $4m. North-facing yard, walk to the station, and please god a garage.

Tell us and we'll watch for it. Not a portal search you have to remember to run — we'll tell you when something matching turns up, including the ones being tested quietly that never reach a listing site.

03 Optional

Go deeper

Some people want more than the number. HouseHound Plus tells you whether that $40k kitchen actually comes back, sends you one honest read on your home a month, and shows you the thing nobody else will:

How many homeowners have told us they want a house like yours.

04 When you're ready

Test the market. Quietly.

One day you start thinking about moving. Normally that means putting your house on the market and hoping.

Not here. Your home goes out anonymously for 30 days. Real people respond. The serious ones prove who they are, and can show they are in a position to buy. At the end you get a Demand Report built on what actual people said they'd pay.

Nobody sees your address. Nothing makes you sell. You just stop guessing.

05 Your call

Then decide

Sell to someone already circling. Take the report to an agent and negotiate like you've got the numbers, because you do. Or do nothing at all and keep watching.

And if it turns out hardly anyone wants it? That's worth just as much. You found out in month one, for the price of finding out, instead of on a Saturday morning in front of your neighbours.

What we'd read into it

Your median signal is 4.8% above what you expected. Nine of the fourteen sit between $3.44m and $3.62m — that's where the competition is, and it's a stronger position than your suburb's average.

People aren't responding to a price. They're responding to the house.

Also a mock-up. In a real report, no buyer ever learns your address unless you decide to tell them, and you can walk away at any point without explaining yourself to anyone.
Why we built it

We got tired of watching people find out too late.

Here's the part nobody in our industry volunteers.

Jordan and Chad, founders of HouseHound

By the time you sign with an agent, the most valuable information about your home has already been collected. You're just not the one holding it.

We've watched this happen for years. Someone takes the first offer that feels right. Two months later a near-identical house up the road goes for far more. They never find out. They sign, they settle, they move on, and they spend the rest of their lives not knowing what the market actually thought.

So we started at the other end. Not with the sale — with the owning.

Because the sale isn't really one day. It's the last four weeks of a decision you've been quietly making for years — every time you wondered whether to renovate, whether the market had turned, whether now was the moment. Nobody was helping you with any of that.

It isn’t anyone behaving badly. The whole industry gets paid when a home is listed, so nobody has ever had a reason to help you with the years before that.

Said plainly: Jordan works in the Australian property industry. HouseHound is independent of any agency. If we ever introduce you to a professional, it's because you asked, and we're paid the same no matter which one you pick. We don't take a slice of your sale and we don't sell your details. Ever.

Four promises
07

The stuff we'll never do.

01

Your address stays yours

Buyers see a suburb, a type of house, roughly a size. Never your street. Never your name. You're the only one who can change that.

02

We don't sell you

Not your details, not your plans, not to lenders or insurers or anyone with a mailing list. That's not a policy page. That's the whole business.

03

No agent turns up uninvited

Nobody calls you because we sold them your name. If you want help, you ask, and we're paid the same whoever you pick.

04

Leave whenever

No contract, no lock-in, no retention call. Delete it all and take your data with you. The waitlist is one click.

Fair questions
08

Ask us the awkward ones.

What does it cost? +

Claiming your home is free and stays free. That's the bit most people will only ever use.

Going deeper is a small monthly subscription, and testing the market is a one-off fee. We haven't set either price yet — and we'd rather admit that than make up a number to sound organised. Both get published before we ask a single person for a cent, and everyone on the waitlist sees them first.

No commission. No percentage of your sale. Not now, not later.

Do I have to sell? Do I need an agent? +

No, and no. Most of what HouseHound does is for people who aren't going anywhere.

If you do test the market one day, that's a way of finding out what people think — not a commitment to anything. Take the report to your own agent, to no agent, or stick it in a drawer for two years. An agent is never required.

Is this just a lead machine for agents? +

It's the fair question, so here's the honest answer: we've built it so it can't quietly turn into one.

We don't sell contact details. We don't sell the same person's plans to five competing agents. Nobody reaches you until you've asked for help, and we're paid the same regardless of who you choose — so we've got no reason to push you anywhere.

You pay for the intelligence. Professionals pay to take part. Those two things stay separate, permanently.

What if it turns out nobody wants my house? +

Then you just saved yourself a fortune.

You can move your timing, your price, or your presentation while all of that is still cheap and private to change. Finding out demand is soft in month one beats finding out at auction, in front of your street, with a campaign already paid for.

Will there actually be anything for me to buy? +

Fair, and we won't pretend otherwise: on day one in a new market, not much. That's exactly why we open one market at a time instead of sprinkling ourselves thinly across the country.

But here's the thing most people miss. Every owner on HouseHound is somebody's next house. The person down the road who claimed their home last month is thinking about a move too. As the list in your area fills up, so does the supply — because they're the same people.

Which is the honest reason to join now rather than later. You're not just getting in line. You're helping build the thing you're waiting for.

When do you launch, and where? +

Through 2026, one market at a time. Not everywhere at once — thin data is worse than no data, and we're not shipping something that guesses.

We haven't locked in the first market, and that's on purpose. We go where the most people are waiting. Join the list, tell us your suburb, and you're voting for yours.

Before you list

Don't make a million-dollar decision blind.

We open one market at a time, and the waitlist decides which one goes first. Get on it and you're in before anyone else in your suburb.
