Your address stays hidden from everyone. No portal listing. No agent. Your property enters the HouseHound buyer network quietly.
Every week, Melbourne sellers accept offers worth hundreds of thousands less than what buyers were actually prepared to pay. The buyers know. The agent knows. You don't. HouseHound shows you what your home is really worth to the people who want it — before you list, before you sign, before it's too late.
We're launching suburb by suburb across Melbourne. Tell us where you are and we'll let you know the moment your area opens. One email, only when it matters.
Your suburb OptionalYour agent shows you sales from six months ago. Domain shows a median. REA shows an average. Cute. None of them can tell you what a real buyer will pay for your home this weekend. That is the entire problem — and it's worth six figures every time it happens.
Aggregated inner Melbourne auction data, 2024.
HouseHound analysis of REIV and PEXA settlement data, 2024.
REIV buyer-to-listing ratio, Q1 2025.
Every one of these numbers is the same problem from a different angle: you are negotiating without information that everyone else in the room already has.
Before your property is listed anywhere. Before any agent gets involved. Before you commit to anything.
Your address stays hidden from everyone. No portal listing. No agent. Your property enters the HouseHound buyer network quietly.
Verified buyers signal interest and submit indicative offer prices. Watch demand build in real time on your dashboard.
At day 30 you receive your full intelligence report. Then choose from matched agents who already have relationships with your interested buyers.
Your Demand Report lands on day 30. Real buyer counts, indicative price signals, and a full activity log — so you walk into agent negotiations knowing exactly what the market will bear.
Sample report. All data is real buyer activity — not estimates or averages.
Here's the truth nobody in our industry will tell you: by the time you sign with an agent, the most valuable information about your home has already been collected — and you're not the one who has it.
We've spent our careers watching this play out. We built HouseHound so you see what we see, before anyone asks you to make a decision you can't take back.
Every week we watch homeowners take the first offer that feels right. Two months later, an almost identical home up the street sells for a quarter-million more. The first seller never finds out. They go to settlement, sign the papers, and spend the rest of their life never knowing what the market actually thought their home was worth.
That gap — between what your home sells for and what it was actually worth to the people who wanted it most — is the most expensive blind spot in Australian property. And right now, every part of the system is set up to keep you inside it.
HouseHound is the step you take before any of that starts. Before you call an agent. Before you sign anything. Before you find out, too late, what you missed. You see who's actually circling your home. You see what the verified demand looks like. You see what the report says before anyone profits from your decision. It's $99 to list. It's free to join the waitlist. And the only people who don't want you to use it are the ones making money from you not having it.
Jordan currently works in the Australian property industry. HouseHound operates independently of any agency and refers transactions to multiple agents based on suburb expertise — the referral structure is the same regardless of which agent a seller chooses.
Four commitments that hold whether you list, browse, or never come back.
Your home is never identifiable to buyers, agents, or anyone else until you choose to reveal it. Buyers see suburb, property type, bedroom count, and approximate size. They never see your address. You are the only person who can change that.
HouseHound makes money from $99 listings and from agent referrals if you choose one. We don't sell, license, or share your data with marketing companies, lenders, insurance providers, or anyone else. Not now. Not ever. This isn't a privacy policy clause — it's the entire business model.
If you choose to sell through an agent, you choose which one. We match you with agents whose buyers are already circling your home — but the commission split is the same whether you pick our match or your own neighbour. We don't have a preferred-partner kickback. There isn't one.
No subscription. No contract. No lock-in. The $99 listing fee is one-time, and at any point you can delete your listing, delete your account, take your data with you. The waitlist is even simpler — one click to leave, no questions.
The catch is that you have to wait. We're launching one Melbourne suburb at a time and we won't open your area until we have enough sellers and verified buyers for the demand intelligence to be real. That's it. There's no upsell, no subscription, no commission slice, no data sale, no surprise fee. $99 is the entire price. We make it work by also charging matched agents a referral fee from their commission — only if you choose to use one — and that's how the business funds itself.
That is genuinely useful information. If demand is lower than expected, you know it before you have committed to an agent, a price, or a campaign. You can adjust your timing, price expectation, or presentation before anything goes public. Knowing low demand early is worth more than finding out at auction.
No — and here's how we've structured the business to make sure of it. The agent matching at the end of your 30-day window is completely optional. Take your Demand Report and go to your own agent if you prefer. Most sellers find it useful to approach agents who already have relationships with their specific buyers. That is your call to make.
No. HouseHound is pre-market and completely anonymous. Your property never appears on REA, Domain, or any public portal. No agent sees your address unless you choose to share it. Your HouseHound window runs before your public campaign, not instead of it.
Every buyer completes identity verification and submits current mortgage pre-approval from an Australian lender before they can signal interest in any property. Indicative offers require proof of finance attached. We do not allow anonymous buyer registrations. If a buyer cannot verify, they cannot participate.
Your listing and all buyer activity is permanently deleted 30 days after your window closes unless you choose to extend. We do not sell, share, or retain your data. Your address is never visible to buyers at any point. Read our full privacy policy before you sign up.
Throughout 2026, suburb by suburb across inner Melbourne. We're not opening everywhere at once — we're opening properly. When you join the waitlist and select your suburb, you receive a direct email the moment your area goes live. Waitlist members in each suburb get first access, no exceptions.
These quotes are from family friends of ours — people we've known for years, who've sold and bought homes in Melbourne, and who told us exactly what it cost to do it blind. Their names are changed. Everything else is verbatim.
Sold my Fitzroy place in 2022… found out MONTHS later that three buyers had been circling my street. The neighbour's house, basically identical to mine, went for $280k more a bit later. Still makes me sick thinking about it honestly. Where was this when I needed it!!
Agent said we'd get $1.2m. Got $1.2m. Sold in ten minutes… and that's the thing. Ten minutes. You don't sell something that fast unless buyers think they're getting a steal. I'll never know what we actually left behind and that's what keeps me up.
How does this not already exist?? Seriously. I'm selling my Richmond place next year and there is zero chance I'm signing with an agent before I've seen what you guys show. Why would anyone.
HouseHound launches in 2026 and opens one Melbourne suburb at a time. The waitlist decides which suburbs go first. Join now and your first listing is free — and the founder rate of $99 is locked in for life, only for the people on this list.
